Stapled to the bag was a tag indicating Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and Kennedy Halves, Mar 19, 1964. With the Kennedy Half Dollar released to the public on March 24, 1964, it was apparent that the coins in this bag were among the first Kennedy Half Dollars ever struck.
