2010 – 2020 46 Kennedy Half Business Strike P&D, “S” Silver Proofs, “S” Clad Proofs + 2018 Silver Reverse Proof & 2017 Enhanced. Up for sale is a 2010 – 2020 Kennedy Half 46 Coin set which includes the 22 business strike Philadelphia and Denver Coins, the 11 “S” Clad Proofs, the 11 “S” Silver Proofs + the special issue 2017 “S” Enhanced Uncirculated coin and the 2018 “S” Silver Reverse Proof. The business strike P&D coins have been sourced directly from mint rolls/bags/mint sets and are nice uncirculated coins. The “S” proofs and the enhanced uncirculated coins have all been carefully removed from US Proof Sets with gloves and placed in Guardhouse Air Tite holders. This is a nice set of Kennedy Halves for a reasonable price. None of the Kennedy halves over this period were put into circulation with mint production only available by purchasing the coins directly from the mint in bags or rolls. That makes the mintages on these coins modest compared to coins that actually circulate. It also makes finding rolls of these coins challenging at reasonable pricing. The silver proof coins are increasingly challenging to find at reasonable pricing as silver mint sets produced have continued their long decline. There are a number of interesting coins in this set including. This led to a scarcity of the 2012 proof issues including the 2012 Kennedy proof coins. 2 2017 “S” Enhanced Uncirculated Kennedy Half – In 2017 the mint released a 225th Mint Anniversary set which included special relief “Enhanced Uncirculated” Coins. 3 2018 “S” Silver Reverse Proof Kennedy Half – In 2018 the mint released a 50th Anniversary San Francisco Silver Proof Set with all of the coins in the set being reverse proofs. Mintage was set at 200,000 and the set is expected to sell out. 4 2019 “S” Silver 99.9% Proof Kennedy Half – In 2019 the mint, for the first time, starting producing 99.9% silver proofs (previously they were 90% silver). The 2020 Silver Proof is also99.9% silver.
