2018 S NGC PF70 Silver Kennedy Rev PF (Lt Finish Variety & FDOI)Extremely Rare
NOT a regular reverse PF or Early Release. But a rare Lt finish variety with (FDOI) First Day of Issue label. FDOI – Certified within 24 hour of issue by the mint – No more FDOI of the same coin can be certified after 24 hours has passed. Compares with all other labels, if you kept the receipt and or in an unopened box, it can be certified 5,10,15 years later, which increase the population of the coin. 2018 S NGC PF70 Silver Kennedy Reverse Poof. First Day of Issue Extremely Rare. Rarest of all Kennedy Half Dollars – Less then 135 pcs in PF70 FDOI Cable Car. The Light Finish variety results from an obverse die that was not properly prepared. To mint the Reverse Proof finish, the U. Mint polishes the dies design elements and vapor blasts the fields. Therefore, imparts a highly reflective finish on the coins design elements and a matte finish on the fields, which is the opposite of the Ultra Cameo contrast typically seen on Proof coins. This variety appears to have been caused when the U. Mint did not vapor blast one or more of the obverse dies. The 2018-S Silver Reverse Proof Sets were released by the U. Mint on July 23, 2018, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the production of Proof coins at the San Francisco Mint.
